Buy Foam Roller in Singapore at the Best Price

A good quality foam roller is essential in self-myofascial release or SMR, as it lets you target overworked or tensed muscles. It can essentially allow you to give yourself a deep-tissue massage without having to go to a licensed massage therapist. You use your body weight to put pressure on and release the tension from your hips, legs, arms, back, and other parts of your body. You can also use it to increase your core stability and balance. Foam rollers are widely available in sports specialty shops in Singapore but if you want the best prices, then order them online. They come in different shapes, foam types, and costs.

Determine how you intend to use the foam roller so you can purchase one that fits your needs. Will you be using it for tissue massage primarily, or for exercises such as core training and balance? A half-round foam roller may help improve your balance as you stand on it.  Physical therapists in Singapore often use this type of foam roller to enhance ‘proprioception’ of patients who are recovering from injuries to ankles or knees.Half-round foam rollers may also be recommended for elderly people as well as those with low strength and muscle tone. These foam rollers do not move easily when laid flat side down, so even those with little tone can comfortably move back and forth on these rollers as they grow more comfortable with using them.

Firmness is another factor to consider. Foam rollers are usually colour-coded according to their firmness, with white rollers being the softestand black ones being the firmest. If you are a beginner, go for a white foam roller. It is less dense and is designed toallow some movement between your muscles, your bones, and the roller while producing less pain and pressure. Go for a medium lightly-coloured foam roller if you are seeking medium pressure and advanced core stabilization. You can buy green or blue foam rollers in Singapore online. These rollers are the most commonly used types in Pilates classes. Finally, choose a black roller if you prefer hard pressure. Most black foam rollers are made of the same polyethylene foam used in white and light coloured versions, but are ‘closed cell’ and typically manufactured using high heat. This makes them smoother, less porous, and denser.

3 Things to keep In Mind While Using Workout Bench

A workout bench can aid you when doing certain types of exercises. Workout benches are typically classified as home grade (for your home gym) or commercial grade, and they are typically adjustable to ensure a perfect fit or position. High-quality workout benches are designed to be comfortable for weightlifting. Their solid and sturdy feel will provide ample support for your back and for your entire body during free weight training in any type of position. To make the most of your workout bench, here are three things to remember while using it:

  1. You can do a wide range of exercises with it – A workout bench can dramatically enhance the results of your workout because it can let you do different sets of exercises like the shoulder press, dumbbell bench press, pull overs, dumbbell rows, chest flys, tricep dips, concentration curls, and lying tricep extensions. Consider investing in a bench that can decline and incline, so that you can do more exercises like an upper or lower chest workout, incline bench bicep curls and one-arm lateral raises, and rear deltoid exercises.

  2. Use the ankle blockers – Some workout benches come with ankle blockers, which usually look like pads. They serve to block the feet to keep you in place while doing sit ups and decline bench exercises. This way, you do not have to worry about sliding down, and you do not have to exert more effort in trying to keep your body in place, and you can concentrate more on the exercise.

  3. Do not raise your feet up in the air while using a workout bench – This is especially advised to beginners. Doing so will put you in an unstable position and may cause you to lose your balance. Make sure your feet are firmly on the floor.

Importance of Using Stepper Fitness Equipment

Adding a stepper routine to your entire fitness regime can be extremely beneficial to your overall fitness, health, and well being. More than strengthening your cardiovascular system (stepper routines are great aerobic exercises) and shedding unwanted weight, exercising on a stepper machine also helps you tone your leg muscles and strengthen your lower body. With the right combination of upper body training movements and exercises, step climbing can also serve as a full-body work out.

A stepper routine can be used to work target areas other than your legs. The muscles around your hips or your gluts, for instance, may get knotted, stiffen, or become distorted. Exercising them can help prevent pelvic discomfort and distortion while strengthening the pelvic muscles, especially when stepping is combined with upper body movements such as twisting the torso.

Not only does stepping burn fat, but it also builds muscle strength. It trains the muscles for added strength and boosts the body's basal metabolism, thus allowing it to burn fat during exercise. Because stepper exercises target the pelvic area, they also help maintain a better posture, as pelvic distortion is prevented, and the hip and muscles remain properly toned. Stepping exercises also balances the body, restoring lowered internal organs back to their rightful places. When pelvic muscles are weakened, the internal organs tend to get pulled down, sitting low, on top of the hips. This makes the stomach stick out more than it is supposed to. Exercising the pelvic muscles through stepping restores strength in your pelvic muscles and keeps the body in better shape.

Even a few minutes a day on your stepper machine can do wonders for your body in terms of aerobic and strength-building exercises. Not only does stepping keep your legs in shape, but it also helps keep the entire body fit, especially when combined with upper body exercises.

Buy the Best Exercise Gloves Online

Proper exercise gear helps protect and support different parts of the body during rigorous activities. Exercise gloves for instance, are specifically designed not only to support the wrist while doing strenuous exercises but to prevent blisters and calluses, which often result from repeated gripping and grabbing of equipment handles. They protect joints from strain and cushion the palms from blows and friction.

Exercise gloves in the market today vary in durability, flexibility, design, and support, which is why it is important to consider the types of activities you do the most when shopping for a pair. Getting the proper size and fit is also essential so you won't have trouble with comfort while doing your routines. Ill-fitting gloves may restrict proper air and blood flow around and in your hands and even cause blisters due to unnecessary friction. Look for a pair of gloves with just the right coverage and protection for your hands.

Fitness and weightlifting gloves are not hard to find in department stores and sports supply chains. Online suppliers that specialize in gym equipment and accessories are also great sources for quality work out gloves. To make sure you are getting the proper gear, consider the types of activities you intend to use the gloves for. Repetitive strength exercises such as weight lifting can take a toll on your hands. Constant gripping, grasping, and handling dumbbells, weights, pull-up bars, and similar types of exercise equipment may leave your hands, palms, and wrists feeling raw, sore, and overused. Exercise gloves feature designs and components that help provide an additional layer of protection for your hands and keep you from sustaining common injuries. Gloves also help you prolong exercise routines by putting less strain on your bare hands. With the right fit, size, and design, your fitness gloves can definitely help you maximize the benefits of your workout routine.

How to Work Out with the Resistance Band

Taking a break from weights training to focus on other parts of your body is a good way to get a well-rounded fitness regime. Just as you don't need to perform every exercise routine there is to get in shape, you can also take a break from other exercise equipment to see what more innovative tools can do for your body. An exercise/resistance band is a good example of a work out equipment that offers great possibilities. Many also agree that this portable exercise tool offers many great advantages over weights and other fancy exercise machines as it improves both strength and balance.

With a resistance band, you work in a full range of motion, which means you get to target muscles you likely miss with weights and other machines. The following are good moves and work out routines to perform with a resistance band:

  • Lunges and bicep curls – Here, you place the center of the exercise band under the instep of the foot of your choice and position the other foot some 2 feet behind you. With an underhand grip on the handles, do some bicep curls and bend your knees into a lunge position. 20 repetitions on each leg at thrice a week frequency will do wonders for your leg and arm muscles.
  • PliĆ©s – Stand with your feet apart (wider than shoulder-width), put your toes out and wrap the band around your back at mid-rib level. Extend your arms to the sides in a slightly curved position while holding it just near the handles. Bring your fingertips together and bend your knees until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Open your arms as you return to your starting position. Repeat 20 times.
  • Squats and overhead presses – Stand in the middle of the band, feet shoulder width apart. Hold the handles at shoulder height with your palms facing away and your elbows bent. Squat deeply as you press your arms directly overhead and keep your weight on your heels. Resist the pull of the band as you return to a standing position. Repeat 20 times.
